We Wish to Make an Impact in the World

Come spend the morning in our beautiful Kindergarten classroom and get a gentle glimpse into the warmth and wonder possible for your child's first experience in school.

Your child will be able to engage in creative play with other children, while enjoying all-natural toys and relishing in the rhythm of our morning. Our time will include a short seasonal circle, playtime inside and outside, and a snack together.

As the adult companion, you will have the chance to build meaningful community with other families, discuss leading-edge ideas in child development and parenting, observe your child and learn a simple seasonal handcraft made out of all natural materials.

Homeschooling is a journey...

The Singing Stones Voyagers Program is a multi-disciplinary home-school enrichment class series inspired by Waldorf Education. In the Voyagers program, students study language arts, math, science and social studies in an integrated approach to learning that weaves in art, speech, and movement.

Our older students might work on building a model aqueduct in their studies of Ancient Rome, or make a compass mandala drawing while experimenting with geometry. All students are encouraged to work on speech and drama skills, by participating in a brief poetry recitation or dramatic performance each session.

Students develop an appreciation of the wisdom inherent in all cultures by reading rich literature and celebrating festivals from around the world. Regardless of the activity, students are engaged in active project-based learning as they work to more deeply understand the world around them.

Curiosity and the love of learning is a fire. Igniting and fueling that fire is our cherished task as parents and educators. The unique Waldorf philosophy of inspiring the heart before engaging the mind, enables our students to develop capacities, helping them to become fully balanced, lifelong learners.
